galleried is a desktop application that rotates your Instagram posts as your desktop wallpaper. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can delete it.

data we collect

• your Instagram username
• your Instagram post images, downloaded and stored locally on your device
• post metadata including timestamps and permalink URLs

we do not collect likes, comments, follower lists, direct messages, or any other Instagram data.

how we use your data

• post images are stored locally on your device only and used solely to set your desktop wallpaper
• we do not upload your images or metadata to any server
• we do not sell, share, or transfer your Instagram data to any third party

data storage

all data is stored locally on your device. galleried operates without a backend server. your Instagram credentials are stored securely in your operating system keychain and never transmitted externally.

data retention and deletion

• all Instagram data is stored locally on your device
• you can delete all data at any time by disconnecting your account in settings, which removes all cached images and stored credentials from your device
• uninstalling galleried removes all locally stored data

third party services

galleried uses the Instagram Login API provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. your use of Instagram is governed by Meta's own terms and privacy policy at privacycenter.instagram.com.
